Okay... I'm an idiot. I tripped over the power cord on my laptop and pulled it off the counter. I *kinda* caught it, but it landed on the (short) carpet still kind of hard. Um... now the floppy drive tends to eat disks. If I put a disk in and try to access it, it'll make noises like it's reading it, but then it will say "drive a: cannot be accessed" or something, and the formatting will be all jacked up. If I put that disk into the desktop machine or whatever, it will say "this disk is not formatted..." etc. Any thoughts as to what I should do??? TIA!

PhutD: I heard this real asshole on the radio today talking about the homeless. "They should either be put in prison.. or put into a mental hospital so that.. a) they get the care they need.. and b), and most importantly, we get our streets clean!" JaimeZX: What if we gave them brooms and they could clean up and have a "tip" bucket? That'd kill two birds with one stone. PhutD:Good idea, Jim. |
